Tar Heels Climb To #12 After Strong Weekend

UNC Women’s Volleyball climbed to Number 12 in the AVCA Coaches Poll after home wins over Maryland and Pitt over the weekend. Carolina travels to Florida this weekend to play conference oppenents Florida State and Miami, before returning home on November 8.

Tar Heels Crack The Top 10 Heading Into Home Opener

The UNC Women’s volleyball, now 6-0 after two early season classic sweeps, heads into this week’s home opener ranked 18th in the nationals standings. They join five other undefeated teams in the early season rankings. The Tarheels host George Washington on their home court in Carmichael Arena this Friday at 7:00 PM.

 

Hawaii Coach Captures NCAA Victory Record

Hawaii’s victory over Santa Clara allowed coach Dave Shoji to capture the overall win record for college women’s volleyball.  The win was Shoji’s 1,107th victory and it happened in front of a crowd of over 6000. Congrats to Dave Shoji on this amazing record.
