Livestrong.com, the foundation run by cyclist Lance Armstrong says that the International Volleyball Federation now claims that volleyball is the second most popular sport in the world.  The FIVB is the major international governing body that oversees both national, educational and prpivate volleyball competition and development.  They are headquartered in Switzerland.
