Still, an article we came across in Gizmodo got us excited, even though it could eventually mean the end of the need for gym floor taping.

A Dutch company caled LEDSSPORTS is developing a system that uses LEDs embededd in the floor to create lines appropriate for the game being played.  A court outlined for basketball could instantly become a volleyball court with the flick of a switch.  Change from men’s basketball to fencing without painting or re-taping a single line.
